November 21 2000:
Starring with Tim Lau
and Prudence Lau Siu-Kwun in NEI SEUNG DIK OI (ANYWHERE BUT HERE), Amy Chan Sau-Man was asked her opinion about the ratings.
In her reply, Amy Chan appeared to hint that ATV was doing a poor job of promoting her series. Chan said: "My job as an actor
is to act and to do all I can to promote the project afterwards. To do promotion properly you need to be prepared before the
series is broadcast. If you aren't prepared you just can't compete."
September 6th, 2001:
Anita Yuen Wing-Yi and Amy Chan Sau-Man spent the better part of a month on location in Beijing working on the Mainland television
series FUNG WAN YI NUI (The Turbulent years).
Asked what it was like to work with Amy Chan, Yuen responded: "Amy and I got along very well. No need
to start any rumors. Everything went peacefully and calmly. Maybe it's because we have the same nature. That's a good thing.
If we have anything to say, we say it directly. There's no guessing. It's a lot better than some of the co-stars that I've
had in the past. They would be nice to your face but then they would go and talk about you behind your back."
As for Amy Chan, she returned the compliment by saying: "We are both professionals. She is a very dedicated
person. We are very much alike. We came here because we had a job to do." (From: http://www.hkentreview.com/)
Amy Chan Sau-Man has spent the last three months in Beijing working
on the Mainland television series FENG WAN SUI YUET (TURBULENT TIMES or THE TURBULENT YEARS). The three months has been the
longest time she has been away from her family. Although she has had to overcome bouts of homesickness, the time away from
her regular routine has given her an opportunity to get in shape. Sau Man said:
"After working during the day, I don't have any housework to do in the evening so I can exercise and relax. Moreover, we have
to use bicycles to get all over the place here. I've managed to lose eleven pounds just because of those changes!"
